1. What is the reason for this campaign?

Your wellbeing and satisfaction while using your Thermomix has always been of great importance to us, which is why we’ve introduced a Thermomix education campaign in conjunction with the manufacturer of Thermomix, Vorwerk. Called “Thermomix Basics”, our aim is to provide you with important reminders for the safe use and maintenance of your Thermomix. Here you’ll find a series of videos and safety tips to ensure you use your Thermomix correctly and safely to get the most out of your appliance so you can keep on preparing your favourite meals and discovering new recipes to love.

With all kitchen and electrical appliances, there is inherent risk of injury. It’s important that appliances are used in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and user manual.


2. Does this campaign also include TM5 appliances?

This campaign is intended mainly for the TM31 customers. However, the majority of the information
delivered in the “Thermomix Basics” campaign is also relevant for the TM5 customers.

With all kitchen and electrical appliances, there is inherent risk of injury. It’s important appliances are used in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and user manual.


3. Are the TM5 and TM31 safe to operate?

The TM5 and TM31 appliances are safe to operate when used appropriately and in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and the user manuals. The “Thermomix Basics” campaign draws together all the essential safety rules. If you own a TM31 model, please ensure your bowl lid green sealing ring is not damaged or worn; it should be replaced immediately if it is more than two years old or is damaged or worn. You can order a new one from TheMix Shop (AUS or NZ) on our web site.

4. Why wasn’t this campaign run sooner given the problems that Thermomix has been having in Australia?

Because of our direct sales approach, we have been able to help individual customers with specific questions regarding the use of Thermomix appliances, including safety related questions. Nevertheless, because the safety and wellbeing of our customers is our highest priority, Vorwerk Elektrowerke, the manufacturer of the Thermomix, has launched the Thermomix Basics education campaign to ensure all Thermomix appliances are being used appropriately and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and the user manual. With all kitchen and electrical appliances, there is inherent risk of injury. It’s important appliances are used in line with the manufacturer’s instructions and user manual.


5. I wasn’t aware that I needed a green sealing ring to use my TM31 so what do I do now?

The TM31 should be used only with the green sealing ring and it should be replaced every two years or earlier if damaged. If you never received your replacement green sealing ring, please contact our Customer Care team during normal business hours on 1800 004 838 if you call from Australia or 0800 766 966 if you call from New Zealand so they can assist you.


6. I’m having trouble using my green sealing ring, can you help?

The TM31 should be used only with the green sealing ring and it should be replaced every two years or earlier if damaged.
