1. What is the reason for this campaign?

The safety and wellbeing of our customers is and continues to be our highest priority. Vorwerk Elektrowerke, the manufacturer of the Thermomix, has launched an educational campaign called “Thermomix Basics”, to ensure all Thermomix appliances are being used appropriately and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and the user manual. As with all kitchen and electrical appliances it is important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and exercise care when using them.

2. Does this campaign also include TM5 appliances?

This campaign is intended mainly for the TM31 customers. However, the majority of the information
delivered in the “Thermomix Basics” campaign is also relevant for the TM5 customers.

3. Are the TM5 and TM31 safe to operate?

The TM5 and TM31 appliances are safe to operate when used appropriately and in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions and the user manuals. The “Thermomix Basics” campaign draws together all the essential safety rules. If you own a TM31 model, please ensure your bowl lid sealing ring is not damaged or worn; it should be replaced immediately if it is more than two years old or is damaged or worn. You can order a new one from the Mix shop (AUS or NZ) on our web site.

If you have further questions, you can contact our Thermomix Basics team on 1800 954 366 if you call from Australia or 0800 005 327 if you call from New Zealand or send an email to basics@thermomix.com.au.

4. Why wasn’t this campaign run sooner given the problems that Thermomix has been having in Australia?

Because of our direct sales approach, we have been able to help individual customers with specific questions regarding the use of Thermomix appliances, including safety related questions. Nevertheless, because the safety and wellbeing of our customers is our highest priority, Vorwerk Elektrowerke, the manufacturer of the Thermomix, has launched the Thermomix Basics education campaign to ensure all Thermomix appliances are being used appropriately and in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and the user manual. As with all kitchen and electrical appliances it is important to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and exercise care when using them.

5. Why is the Thermomix Basics campaign only being undertaken in Australia?

The Thermomix Basics campaign has been launched in Australia, but is an international campaign and will be available in other markets soon. In some markets it may also be called the Thermomix 1×1 or Thermomix ABC campaign, but it is the same campaign.
